Made these pretty cupcakes for the wedding of a lovely couple a few weeks ago. The simple design featured a vanilla buttercream petal swirl sprinkled with pink sugar sand and topped with a gumpaste rose in pale pink. Despite the simplicity of the design, the order was for several dozen cupcakes and I seriously underestimated the work involved in making 70 roses. But it was great practice and now I feel like I can do them in my sleep! I loved the overall effect of the cupcake tower that fit so perfectly with the beautiful and elegant wedding venue.
