A very last minute request – the fastest vintage car cake I have made to date! Not to scale and short of quite a lot of detail. This World War 1 Rolls Royce Armoured Vehicle is to be raffled at Sparsholt College, Hampshire on Saturday where they are celebrating 100 years of the motor car. I chose this vehicle because it ties in with the Cententary of WWI and also had less detail than other cars of this period (which I would have loved to do … but I had such a small window for this as it was!. Next time ..). Carved Fruit cake, marpizanned and decorated thinly with fondant. Everything edible except the poppy which is made with cold porcelain.
