I thought I’d finally load up some pictures of my latest sugar paste cup and saucer.
This time I went a step further when making them and made a sugar paste spoon too. (I’m tempted to see if I can do a full tea set complete with teapot and biscuit tin next)
The cup and saucer were moulded on an old tea set I had at home, and the spoon was moulded using a kings pattern teaspoon from my drawer.
I hand painted the cup and saucer in a vintage rose style and the spoon was detailed using royal icing and then coated in a metallic silver food paint.
Great fun to make and they look beautiful on top of a floral cake.
