This was my very first carved cake. Our little Westie, Maggie was 1 a couple of years ago and most of you may think it’s a little nuts to make a cake for a dog but she nearly didn’t reach her first birthday. When Maggie was just 10 weeks old she was kick by one of our horses. She suffered spinal injuries and we thought she wouldn’t make it. She couldn’t walk for three weeks, we thought we would have to put her down but to every ones amazement she started to slowly improve. She still is wobbly on her feet and her back is fragile but she is here!!!!! My 11 year old daughter loves that she has a dog that is just like her, Erin suffers from Cerebral Palsy and is also very wobbly on her feet too.
Although Maggie wasn’t to fussed with tasting the cupcakes, hope this isn’t a testament on my baking!!!!!!
