Attaching a “basket” to a hot air balloon cake pop. Suggestions?

I have to attach a “basket” to a hot air balloon cake pop. Suggestions? I thought of rolling out modeling chocolate since that’s what the basket is made out of but they are really small and rolling out that many (4 per) that small would be really tedious. Would an extruder work with modeling chocolate? I also thought of Royal icing on some kind of mold but I was afraid #1 it wouldn’t stick to the modeling chocolate and #2 they would breaker em I pull them off. Any suggestions or help appreciated!
