Traveling with projects

Hi, I am an enthusiastic hobbyist who hopes to take my cake talents to the next level by attending classes at the “Cake Fest” in Louisiana in April. I will be flying to the event and will have class projects to bring home as well as any products I may pick up at the event and I do not know how to plan to get those items home safely.

For those of you who have gone to out of state classes and events before, I could use some feedback on how others have handled this issue.
