hi could anyone please tell me what i need to do regarding tappits/ or any other writing sets . i have got all my letters cut out i used a coloured paste , this is where i get stuck do i dust and steam them before i put onto the cake when dried , how do i stop the colour from going onto the white cake or do i cut them out all fresh and then put onto the cake, .how do i stop the bleeding ,it takes me as long to do the lettering as doing a cake ,

I use tappits all the time. I cut out my letters let them dry then place them on the cake or cake board. I have only steamed them once, then let them dry and placed on the cake. Sometimes I airbrush them, let them dry then place them. I have never had any bleeding of colour. So go ahead and dust them, then steam them, let them dry, overnight a couple days, whatever works, then place them on the cake. They should be just fine. I use them on buttercream and refrigerate them all the time with no trouble or bleeding.

thankyou MsGF .i will give them a dust and steam i will make sure they are dry before i use them, thankyou again .

I let them dry a little (5, 10 mins) put them on the cake, then if they need cleaning brush with a little vodka. May be quicker than steaming.
