Hello everyone,
I have a new client and she is requesting an MSG free wedding cake. I’m trying to find out what it is that I have to avoid in my baking ingredients, but it’s been a little harder finding info than I thought… Has anyone had to make an MSG free cake, or have a link to somewhere that can give some info? Is there a specific type of flour/sugar that I should use? Please help! Thanks! Kendra

MSG is Mono Sodium Glutamate and is found in many foods including dairy products. One of the links gives you different food ingredients names used for MSG so check all your ingredients for these MSG names.
Gluten-Free and MSG-Free are not related at all.
Good Luck. Hope that helps.

If I were you I’d find out how sensitive this girl is. If she is highly sensitive this cake will be very difficult to make, given the lists of food ingredient to avoid.
Good luck, let us know how it goes.
