Sun Newspaper Cake Competition (UK)
Hi my husband pointed this out as I am not a Sun reader. This is hopefully a link to a cake comp that the Sun are holding only it was only launched 4 days ago and they haven’t given much time for people to enter also in the terms it says that the cake can’t have been published previously so I don’t know if Facebook and on here count? Not sure they have really thought it through do they not realise how long a competition piece can take to make? They have also used a picture of Tattooed Bakers Maleficent cake but have not given them the credit or mentioned them so I hope they got permission

Even if I was good enough, on principal I would never have anything to do with that paper. I suppose if someone made a cake of a topless 19 year old they could stand a good chance of winning though!

Ooh dear – I came across as a bit of a grumpy, prudish old woman then didn’t? I really would love it if someone I ‘know’ on here or Flickr won that competition though. Are you thinking of entering Elizabeth?

Not at all I don’t read it which is why I mentioned that in the beginning. No I wasn’t going to enter as I have customers cakes to do and there just isn’t any time entries are due on the 9th and my previous cakes are either too personal or have been shown on here or on Facebook so I guess that counts as published? None of mine are up to the mark anyhow, I was merely pointing it out in case anyone else fancied a shot at winning £1000. Good luck to anyone who fancies it though. x
