Would i need to structure this style of off centered cake ? as it's so small

I’m a bit confused as each sponge is only 1.5’ deep (6"sponge). So two sponges and i wanted them to represent 2 weights stacked but slightly off center so one would be leaning outside the other but by only a small amount like the picture below (bottom 2 weights)

now i’m realising i might need to add a structure underneath them? can anyone help?

many thanks

Even though they are not tick layers I would still insert a cardboard beneath the top tier and use dowels in the bottom tier to support the weight!! Hope this helps!!

do i need to do anything different because the top layer is leaning outside of the bottom layer, can’t seem to find info on structuring it.

Or do i place the dowels directly underneath top tier like normal?

thanks for your help x

Hi Nuria, I do not think that you need to do anything different as long as it is not going to lean outside more than shown on the picture. Make sure that you insert the support in the base tier and add a cardboard separator under the top tier. The cardboard had to rest on the dowels so that the top tier does not crash the base one. You could also use a dummy for the top tier which would be lighter and will definitely not collapse, as long as you have enough cake in the other elements of the cake!!!
