A cake for the son of close friends, who has had an obsession with giraffes since a visit to a local zoo over a year ago. One of the giraffes is called Hannah. When it was first cut we weren’t allowed to touch the giraffes and had to cut a section out of the middle to serve. Nearly two weeks later, still most of one giraffe still survives….

The background is totally airbrushed, although I had originally planned to hand paint the trees I felt like experimenting and liked the result.
