I am so far behind posting cakes from the last 2 months, but I promise I won’t clog the newsfeed!! I made this cake for my 12 year old son who is a huge Harry Potter fan! I hand cut and painted the Hogwarts coat of arms – y’all will understand everything that went into that!! And why oh why didn’t I just print it on wafer paper? Because we’re stubborn – that’s why! Us crazy cakers have to do it the hard way. But…I am really happy with the result! I applied it over textured brick fondant and topped it with a carved sorting hat cake. The board is finished with a Gryffindor scarf, wand and Marauder’s Map. The Hogwarts logo about made me blind but he was so excited- so that was all that matters, right?! ;)
