This will be a surprise for my oldest brother and his wife. When I realized that they were celebrating their golden anniversary, I immediately started on the Gumpaste flowers. At first I was a little unsure of my color choices but now that I see it all together, I love it. Initially I was thinking of more muted colors but decided against it. Bottom cake is vanilla with a raspberry reduction and passion fruit SMBC, middle is pink champagne filled with chocolate ganache and raspberry curd, frosted with pink champagne SMBC both covered in mmf, top is a dummy cake. This will be the first time that my brother will actually see one of my decorated cakes since he spends most of the year overseas. Hope he likes it.
