Beatrix Potter was a British writer and illustrator, responsible for creating lovable characters such as Peter Rabbit, Jamina Duck, among others. Today would be her 150th birthday and a group of cake designers gathered to pay homage.

Beatrix Potter’s illustrations are just lovely! My favorite character is Peter Rabbit. He’s such a cute little bunny!
I never had the chance to do him before so this was the perfect opportunity and I decided to create a sculpted cake based on one of the drawings. All the cake was covered with white suparpaste and than hand painted to make it resemble the original illustration.
