I wanted to participate in this collaboration because I believe in making a difference. I honestly didn’t know much about autism and through this group I have learned so much and love the idea of bringing awareness to those with Autism through edible creations.

My piece is inspired by my own journey into learning about autism. I call it “Shining a Light onto Autism”. One of the reasons I like doing collaborations especially ones for a cause is because it makes me take some time to research and learn about new things. I honestly knew very little about autism before this and find those with autism and their families/caretakers to be an inspirational group of people.
