Advent is here and churches everywhere will be holding a Christingle service. Every child gets an orange with a candle in signifying Jesus the light of the world. The orange represents the world, the red band around the middle represents the blood of Jesus, the four cocktail sticks represent the seasons and the sweets are the fruits of the earth. The foil under the candle represent the nails that pierced the hands of Jesus. It is a most beautiful sight when the lights go out and everyone is holding a Christingle :) The cake is lemon and white chocolate ganache x
