This is the cake I made for my wedding anniversary at beginning of September. Every year I start thinking about making one in July and usually I procrastinate and it never gets made! So, this year I created an album on Facebook to use as a motivator, to post photos of my progress.

It sort of worked, I made the cake but most of it was completed the two nights before my wedding anniversary 😃😃

I used a fab tutorial by Ciccio Cakes to make the tree trunk effect. The flower arrangement I took from Alan Dunns exotic flowers book, and made them in cold porcelain for the first time. The little bird I used a mould for (FPC Sugarcraft, used their bark mould too) which I’ve tried to make look like an Eastern bluebird, but most people think it’s a robin 😃
