The brief for this cake was for a bright 70’s feel cake and a reference to the Monkies band somewhere, the trouble is I double booked myself and had the 3 tier Gerbera wedding cake plus additional cutting cake all to be ready for the same day and in the peak heat of the UK so far. I panicked so much and admit I would have liked to spend more time on this cake as the shoe is a bit rushed and a bit of a mess but I pulled it off and they were very happy anyway. The top layer is airbrushed and hand finished, the pattern I made with my peacock feather cutter.
