30th Birthday cake requested by the husband of a repeat customer called Melissa. He asked for something white, bling, a shoe, Moet and did I say bling! He also asked for the same sponge and filling I made for their wedding with my traditional family recipe for Italian cream. The main cake is a double barrell vanilla sponge and the Moet bottle is a chocolate and vanilla sponge carved into the shape of a very fat bottle of the famous champagne. For the shoe I wanted a sexy and bold shoe in a winter white with blue isomalt heel. The shoe and cake are covered in sanding sugar to catch the light and add to the bling. We delivered the completed cake 52km to its destination and I swear I aged 10 years in that car for every lump and bump we hit!

Melissa sent me a message the next day saying how much she loved her cake which really made my day. Hope you like it x
