Meet Rachael – I call all my wedding cakes after my Brides. Rachael came to me with a rough idea for her cake , one of the main things were the pearl buttons down the back of the cake (like on my Silver Award one) and asked if I could replicate the pattern she had on her wedding dress.

The tiny piped detail took me hours to pipe and then more hours to paint!

This is how I presented the cake so everybody could see the pearl detail as well as the piping detail. I used three lustre colours to get the effect and when the sun shone on the cake it sparkled just perfect!
