Courtney’s mum came to me at a bit of a loss, her daughter wanted Ariana Grande on a cake, and the name, and that was it. Mum was disappointed and wanted a bit more but didn’t want to get in trouble with her daughter ;). We had a bit of a chat and it emerged that one of the things Courtney was into was basketball, and she was described as a bit of a tomboy, not very girly at all.
So I came up with this – basketball board, the idea of jeans round the sides and an edible image of Ariana Grande on the top bordered by a simple frill. Mum was delighted with it, but we both held our breath as it was revealed to her daughter…. Luckily she loved it and was very happy with what we did!!
