This cake is based on the birthday girl`s favourite horse.
I can list so many things that went wrong with this cake and how I would make it differently next time, but I enjoyed every minute of it (well almost!)
I downloaded a structure tutorial from Sweet As Sugar Cakes to work out how to build the structure, watched Kay Garja`s Owl tutorial on Paul Bradford Sugarcraft School to work out how to cover the structure, used Calli`s modelling chocolate tutorial to make the modelling chocolate, asked on here for advice….and eventually made it!
Of course it doesn`t matter how much theory you know, it`s only when you try it that you really learn…that`s how I learn anyway. And I`ve learnt so much from this cake. Can`t wait to get the power tools out again!
And the birthday girl loved it, that`s the important bit! One of the photos is one that her dad sent me….she`d put her toy fence around it to keep it safe xx
