My contribution to the Vesak Festival collaboration of sugar artists! I decided to create the aspect of the celebration of the the many colorful lanterns and the lotus flowers that are lighted on the water.I decided to recreate a vesak lantern and the flowers entirely in wafer paper. Handpainted with tints and gels. The water is isomalt and little fondant flower and leaf accents adorn the water.
