This was a last minute order cake! i was running on fumes making this but jumped at the chance as i wanted to make a fish! soon as my customer said “fishing” i knew what i wanted to do lol.
So here is a figurine of the birthday boy with his tribal tattoos, gold teeth, armani hat and pot belly! (yes she actually requested muscly arms and a pot belly!)
The fish is a big common carp jumping out the water to eat the yummy worm. Ive used piping gel to replicate water on the cake and isomalt for the splashes as the fish jumps out the water. The pebbles are edible too! (and yummy they are coated chocolate shells and i couldnt help nibble them. Somehow i managed to save some for the cake ;P
Forgive the modelling on the dogs the customer requested them at the 11th hour and i didnt get time to make them properly one of them i literally made just before i took the photos before delivery!
I made the fish from RKT and fondant and then handpainted him. I sprayed him with glaze to make him shiny as hes jumping out the water so needed to look wet!
This was a 12" cake 4" high and was vanilla sponge and SMBC and raspberry jam
Enjoy xx
