A birthday cake with candles

This was inspired by Sweetapolita’s brilliant asparagus cake and a photo of a bundle of candles I saw on Pinterest.

It’s a rich fruit cake with 125 fondant candles, I was aiming for 80 but it left too many gaps and didn’t look right 😊
