Cornelli and Florals

Cornelli and Florals

I had the opportunity to create this wedding cake for Renee, and I would like to thank Benita from Benita’s Cakes for the referral!

The photo I had from Renee and Benita had tones of ivory and cream, and I tried by best to replicate the same colour tones on the cake. Renee wanted the flowers on top of the cake, which I was more than happy to provide the white roses that towered above the cake. Looking at the photos, I am happy that the white gives balance to the cake.

The other element of the cake was the cornelli piping, which from a distance looks like lace on a cake. Piping is really something I’m enjoying more and more lately, and I was very happy to incorporate this into the cake as the photo.

The cake was delivered to Morning Star Estate and was blown away with the setting of the ballroom and where the cake was going to be. Congratulations to Renee on your joyous occasion and I hope you loved the cake as much as I enjoyed designing it!
