A creation for my first print publication in the December 2014 issue of DIY Weddings Magazine. I was given a gorgeous colour pallet to work with and when I first saw it I instantly knew my piece would be inspired by an image of a Art Nouveau brooch that I had seen a few years ago on the web.
The bottom tiers covered in hand painted wafer paper discs. The second tier has royal icing piped details on a soft sage coloured fondant. Third tier has hand painted details and top tier is covered in blush pink pearl dragees.
I included gold gilded pink sugar poppies and leaves with sugar blackberries.
