I’m honored to have masterminded the beautiful Festival of Lights creative cake collaboration together with 36 artists from worldwide. My piece is based on a prayer done for life after death. Where the concept is to live now in the moment both ethically and in good health.
This festival is celebrated by Hindus in the autumn month and for this prayer a diya (oil lamp) is lit and placed under a tree in a clean spot facing the South. This ritual takes place on the eve of the main festival day also known as Diwali.
My structural tree is supported with a dowel and I used fishing line to attach wafer paper cutouts to give the illusion of falling leaves.
Hope you all like it. Regards Candace.
