Here’s my cake from yesterday. After delivery, the mom was pulling out on a hill out of a gas station…and well, we all know how that goes… She lived 10 minutes away and when she called sobbing, I had to go fix what I could! Grabbed what I could. Had ONE hour…
Couldn’t really tell from the front after all was said and done! Thankfully smash cake was unscathed!
Cake inspired by first bday outfit!

Very nice cake and such a great save!! Can I ask what you used for the gold on the middle tier. I have a gold cake coming up in a couple weeks and just want to see how others do it…

Thanks everyone. Ask away Sharon…that tier is gold leaf on fondant. Tried to sequin in gold (on a dummie tier) but we didn’t like it. Loved how the gold leaf turned out, and really pulled the two other tiers and her onesie design.

Karen – really, as long as your supports are there and glued down as it was, if you drive carefully, you should be fine. The mom admitted to a very hard turn out of a gas station and knew when it happened. I’ve transported 4 tier cakes with no problems but I drive like an old geezer the entire way! A center dowel could be used of course, but I never center dowel three tier cakes.
