Did you hand paint the butterflies? They are beautiful and so is the rest of the cake :)

For the butterflies, I did a two-phase printing. First I printed off some beautiful abstract art & ‘crystallography’ pictures on wafer paper. I let those dry & then printed over them with black outlines of butterflies. Then I cut them out, and glued them back to back.
