Brazilian inspired cake incorporating patterns and colours of the Samba Queens at Rio Carnival! Ever since we visited in February I wanted to make one as I was fascinated by the array of incredible costumes, colours and sparkle. Hopefully I managed to achieve a little bit of that….
And not to forget, a special thanks to Kara’s Couture Cakes for your Shimmer Your Cake and Edible Gelatin Sequins tutorial I used for this cake! I also got the chance to play with a airbrushing a bit to create the feather effect on the bottom tier (a little tutorial for this one coming) and also use pointillism to create the floral pattern.
