This idea came to me in a dream at 3 am in the morning. I woke up and thought " I have to make this!" I was that excited i couldn’t get back to sleep! So this beauty took 12.5 hours to create, what seemed like endless hours of Bas Relief inspired piping with a 1.5 tip on the front of gum paste petals with royal icing, and gold piping and flood work on the reverse to create a different dimension & a touch of glam. Stamens are covered in lilac sugar sand. The lotus measures 20 cm across. I’ can see why no one bothers to do this as it takes so darn long… But I love the result! Xx
