I was honoured to be asked to make this cake to celebrate the joint 21st birthday of 3 girls I used to teach. I had taken them on an RE trip to India a few years back, so I designed the cake around the bright sari’s of India and piped a royal icing design which I then painted in gold to look like henna, as we had all had henna on our hands during the trip. I used my new airbrush to achieve the graduated turquoise colour across the 2 tiers.
