This is my first go at making a large rose bouquet. The bouquet has a total of 7 flowers and buds. The larger roses are 4" in diameter. The outer rose “petals” are not wired because I didn’t know I was supposed to do that! It would made it much easier.
I used fondant made with red candy melts, with a bit of tylose, to get the red color. I was able to roll it very thin which surprised me.
The most difficult part of this project was getting a nice photo. I wanted a black background, white vase and red roses but it didn’t work out so well. Not only is the color red is difficult to photograph, l learned that digital cameras can’t see the red correctly. I had to settle for a green background.
Thanks for looking!
Donna

Thank you Enza – it took a while to figure out how to wire them together. I eventually had to add more wire to make the stems longer :)
I love them, it is beautiful. Great job, and I like the green background. Question, how did you make the red color, did you melt them and mix with fondant?
