Polish Poppy Cake

Polish Poppy Cake

This cake has extra special meaning to me, as My Mum and me worked on it together, for her Mother’s 89th birthday!

I did this cake back at the end of February, but thought I might post it up here for all of you lovelies to see! I love doing minimalistic cakes and seeing how effective they turn out!

My Mum baked and covered the cake, while I did the flowers, hand painting and finishing touches :)

My Grandma Krystyna was born in Poland, however during WWII came with the Polish children here to New Zealand. The Red Poppy is the national flower of Poland and represents my Grandma’s heritage, as well as this Red is my Grandma’s favourite color – so I thought it was quite fitting!

Hope you all enjoy, xxx Josie
