There is no shortage of “Frozen” themed cakes/treats this year. I have made 5 so far and I see at least 2 a day posted by different cake and cookie artists, sometimes more. What is awesome though, is everyone is trying to be as different as possible, and thats why I love our cakey community…even when faced with the same task we strive to be unique ;]

This cake was made to be the topper of a cupcake tower. I was asked to include a certain snow queen and a loveable snowman who likes “Warm hugs”. Thankfully though, my idea of a young “Elsa” and “Anna” building a snowman was given the “ok” and I set to work. I had a lot of fun making these characters, they were more challenging than most because I tried super hard to stay true to their animated counterparts, but I’m pretty happy with the outcome. I also used the same technique I used for my “Olaf” cake http://cakesdecor.com/cakes/124826-olaf-cake and rolled him in sanding sugar to make him look icy.
