This cake was made for a phenomenal photographer who I actually have the pleasure of knowing personally. Her husband ordered this cake for her surprise birthday and for the first time in my cake making history, provided me with a sketch! (he did half the work for me! haha) The camera presented a bit of a challenge because I wanted it to be as realistic as possible, so I did curse at it occasionally while making it (…everyone yells obscenities at cake every once in a while right? ;] haha) The bird was my ABSOLUTE favorite part though, I love birds so he was super special to me. I even named him Ivan :]
