My entry into Cake International this year. Everything you see I have made myself.
The cake stand is made from cake boards glued together, then iced to look like tree slices, and the stump is two 6" dummies iced, and prettyfied with cutesy style flowers, and insects.
The birdhouse was carved from stacked Rice Krispie squares, then iced. The roof took an absolute age to decorate!!!
The cupcakes had to be 2 sets of identical designs, so I opted for cute birds, and toadstools in vanilla and lemon. There are critters littered around the stand, including snails, ladybirds, caterpillars, worms and spiders.
Just found out I have won a gold medal, so absolutely thrilled!!!

Gorgeous display of cake and cupcakes, love it! Can I ask how you did the bark effect? :-)
And also what do you use for your photo backgrounds, theyre always so gorgeous xx ive just invested in a light tent and lights to photograph my cakes, its on its way, so im excited!

Thank you so much!! I used a bark silicone mat from sugar delites in the USA. The backgrounds are all just rolls of cheap wallpaper, nothing fancy! The solid colours on some of my pictures are proper photography background papers, x
