I’m not familiar with Barbie Mariposa, so i googled up some images and chose this version from the show Barbie Mariposa and the Fairy Princess. It looks entirely different from the Barbie doll. I copied the screen version instead, or I might as well stick a plastic doll in the cake.

This cake gave me a lot of jitters. Barbie’s wings are made from gum paste and hand painted and I’m very proud they’re standing proud. The client wanted soft sponge cake so I couldn’t do a fondant cover and design. So came up with this design. Hope you like. There’ s pain in painting, but it hurts so good when it’s done.
