Christmas season cake

Christmas season cake

This cake is fondant covered with red fabric ribbon accent. The ribbon could most certainly be made of decorative fondant if desired.

The scrolls are pastillage, cut into strips and formed following one of my templates. The scrolls are attached with royal icing beads. Very simple to construct.

This is gorgeous! I for one have not seen it before! Love how you have it displayed as well, with the lace tablecloth that looks similar to your scrolls!
