Birdcage Cake

Birdcage Cake

I’d like to claim this cake was for an actual wedding, but truthfully it was created for a magazine called Wedding and Travel Magazine – Singapore.

They asked me to create something whimsical for them, so I elected to make a large birdcage cake! The cage itself is a combination of run-out and piped royal icing. The cakes inside are pink fondant covered. The topper is also piped royal icing. The birds are nonicing decorative accessories.

Enjoy!
