June, that is one great work surface! What I wouldn’t give for a work space that big XD

Oh Sawsen if I could have shown my old kitchen!!! That Ikea island was IT!!! Literally. No kitchen table, cause there was no room. My kitchen is probably 2-3 x’s what it was. It was a postage stamp size. But, you know, I coped. I use to use my 4th bedroom/catch all room & dining room to put all my stuff. Now that 4th bedroom is my grandson’s bedroom. Daughter’s room is now our computer/tv room/my girl cave. I waited 25 yrs for these changes….

Very nice June! I need updates major, al my equipment is older, but stainless tables never gets old! lol

Yup Nancy…. Stainless steel tables never wear out, and it’s a great investment . I wanted to move my old Ikea island upstairs, but it was too heavy and awkward. Would have preferred that…

Love your desk where everything is laid out ready go.
All my cakey stuff is buried in a small bottom cupboard, but my kitchen is tiny ;-(

Thanks all. I love, love my new kitchen….and although my space downstairs is very organized, big OCD Agatha!! ….it has no sink, so I have to trot up & down the stairs to my kitchen ….but I’m thankful for my little space…and hey, it’s good exercise….hee hee.

Glad you got your cakey space after all that waiting June! My kitchen is small too so I know where you’re coming from, have to keep very on top of cleaning and tidying or the little space there is all disappears! I’m hoping it won’t take me 25 years to get a nice work surface like that though! <3<3

Well Sawsen….between 2 children involved in travelling sports: $$$$ and a hubby who was away for work constantly, it was a case of no time, no money. My wonderful husband put in my whole kitchen, he didn’t make the cupboards, (could have, which would have taken ages) but did absolutely everything else. Blessed to have a terrific handyman hubby…..and he does cooking and dishes too!!!!

Isn’t it wonderful to have the woman cave June,very nice and having the sun shining in would be so awesome!

Oooh lovely spaces June, hubby did a great job! Must be lovely to have all those windows and natural light too :). And as for the girl cave….. well….. Just a tiny bit jealous lol!! xx

You are so organised! My little tiny kitchen looks like a bomb site when I’m creating, then I lose tools and forget where I put them and every possible space is taken up by me. Drives my husband nuts!!! Can’t wait to move to a bigger house with a bigger kitchen and more workable space. Love your space

Thanks Anna…..Have to say…these are “before” caking pictures….trust me, when I’m caking, I’m the same as you…everything, everywhere!!! Icing sugar, tools…yup, and I forget where I’ve plopped them too…..AND despite my space, I still manage to mess it all up…drives hubby ca—razy! More space…mess just spreads out more….

June, your hubby sounds lovely :) mine is a beginner at diy but is starting to learn from my dad, who has every tool under the sun and is somewhat of an expert XD definitely a useful skill to have in the family! Xx

Sawsen, my hubby totally learned all the diy himself. His Dad couldn’t build a sandwich!! Hubby got books, watched diy shows…and with the advent of the Internet, searched the web. Fixed all our cars too and kept them running. Yes, I think I’ll keep him…. 👍 👍
