I am a 54 year grandma, and have always been quite crafty. I love sewing, gardening, cooking and baking. I made my first fondant covered cake in January of 2011 after watching a marathon of the Cake Boss, and have been hooked since. I learned everything I know about cakes from watching tutorials on the internet, and by asking questions to all the wonderful cakes makers I have met on facebook. A special thanks to Peggy Does Cake, and Nancy's Cakes and Beyond who are always available to answer all my questions, and give advice. I babysit my three grandchildren (ages 3, 1 1/2 & 4 months) during the week. I usually only make cakes for family and friends since most of the time the grandchildren keep me pretty busy.
