Several years ago, I was sitting at the kitchen table painting wooden snowmen my husband and I made as Christmas gifts. It was late at night, the house was quiet and I had my headphones on listening to music. I said a prayer, “Lord, I wish I could get paid for my art!”
Here I am less then 10 years later and I have found my happy place. I have replaced my art supplies with fondant and gumpaste, my scrap booking scissors with fondant cutters and texture mats. At this point in time, I am working almost the same amount of hours in my shop as I work at my other full time job. (Special Education Teacher’s Assistant)
If I were independently wealthy, I’d open a full time bakery with my husband and only work one job. I"d take off a few times a year during the slow times to visit with my family. That would be so awesome!

Sounds great Donna!

I love what I do, but I would be without this pressure every month!!!! I would learn and learn and learn for every workshop I want to learn. I would go to paint and learn new techniques… I would travel and try to know everyone I want to, I would self publish my own tales too… Ha ha and I would have someone to make my home duties ha ha.
As you can see I pobably still do what I am doing now but at a greater scale ha ha.
