Hi Everyone,
as many of you are aware The World of Sugar Flowers group held a recent collaboration for people living with cancer and their families. It was a huge success not only did it raise cancer awareness but it also brought so many great sugar artists and cakers together in friendship and in sharing their own personal experience with cancer. All collaborations are special in their own right however we feel this collaboration is extra special as artists had the opportunity to pay their respects to their loved ones through their work. We feel it is so deserving of a place in Cake Masters Magazine so we ask you to please nominate it, thank you xxx

It certainly is Shiobhan. I know that many tears were shed during the flower making thinking of the loved ones lost to this terrible disease. Everyone put a bit of their hearts into each petal.

Yes, this was a special collaboration. It evoked a lot of memories for me, and I got kind of teary looking at all the wonderful pieces. My father in law died of cancer. And I almost lost my husband to an very aggressive form of cancer. I would have been left a widow with 2 young children, it was touch and go. Surgery and treatment was very difficult. Thank God he survived, and is still with us. So it was a no brainer…you got my 100% vote…done and done!!!
