Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday which brings friends and family together to pray and remember those who have died. Sugar skulls are usually made from an unflavoured sugar cane and are given as gifts, some people eat them where others will keep them for a few days and then throw them away.
Last year a fantastic cake collaboration was organised by Yuki and Berry called “Sugar Skull Bakers” and, wow, the work that went into the final creations was amazing to see, but this year the Sugar Skull Bakers are back!! Bigger than ever before!! It was such an honour to have been a part of such an amazing project!!
This week I have featured a collection of work from last years collaboration, this years contributors, and a few special day of the dead cakes shared with us on CakesDecor! Every.single.cake is so unique, great job everyone!
