My Cake Decorating Journey!

My name is Azzurra Cuomo and I have always loved making cakes. Since I was a little girl,
when my mother used to make them and I was only there to watch admired and hope to taste the dough left on the wooden spoon! It ‘s something that has always relaxed me and then ….the satisfaction of eating something made only with your hands …
Last year the turning point. I thought about doing a surprise to a dear friend to get her to celebrate her birthday.
I wanted it to be something special, and that’s when I found the sugar paste.

(Yeah I know…it was terrible…Lol)

It did not seem real to me: cake design mixed my
passion for sweets with another of my passions, the greatest, Art in all its forms and expressions. After becoming a mom

I had to quit my favorite activity, playing with my band as a singer

and for a little more than a year and
a half (I am now thirty) I jumped headlong into this new project that I called Azzurra Cuomo Cake Art.

I enjoy like crazy making cakes for every occasion, even only cake toppers … just to have my hands on sugar paste!
I’m basically an all self-taught cake designer but In December of 2013 I also graduated from Pastry Chef Cake Designer in the Professional Pastry School of the legendary Sweetest!



A Two-weeks experience that helped me to grow under many aspects but more than anything else to understand that I could spend the whole day making cakes … because with fondant you never get bored!!!!
