Have just joined cakelosophy and watched your dahlia tutorial. I’ve pretty much got the hang of the centre but having a few snags with the petals. Did you use a cutter from an orchid set….I have one of those and it looks pretty similar. What I haven’t got is the silicone veiner you used to shape the petals or anything similar…..what is it exactly??? I’m using gumpaste at the minute as I haven’t had time to get to grips with cp.

Graham, when it comes to Dahlias ( and many other flowers) cutter is secondary and veiner makes all the difference if you have a particular look in mind. This Dahlia veiner is by ‘Simply Nature’ ( .sugardelites.com ) They are at Cake International this year and , also, I might be doing a Dahlia demo there, too, on the first day.
