Screech owl in a tree stump,owl is life sized. I wanted to step outside the box on this one, I couldn’t find an owl in a tree cake and since the screech owl does not make a nest (they only use trees with holes) I thought he would be a great choice.
Made of fondant, modeling chocolate and gum paste. Owl is Modeling chocolate. It won 1st place in Queen City cake and sugar art show and is in the running for a peoples choice award :)

oh this is amazingly CUTE!! I love it! ;) congratulations with your 1st Place and good luck with the people’s award! we have screech owls in our garden and sing us to sleep at night. I absolutely LOVE them. x
