Grimms’ Fairy Tales – Briar Rose
A few months ago…I received an email that never in a million years I thought it was possible!! Cake Central inviting me to do a cake to submit to they Briar Rose theme. ME? I really couldn’t believed it!!! So HAPPY!!! Beyond my dreams… but I do love my dreams…LOL
They send me a photo from Arthur Rackham, illustrator (you can see it in my facebook page, because I have so many photos but I only can up load 6 here) that I had to use as inspiration to do my cake. I didn’t had much time to do it…but when I received the email I did went to Google to look for more photos related with the Fairy Tale and I fell in love with one photo/draw from Arthur Rackham – “The castle surrounded by briars.” I had to use it in my cake…so I mixed them together. In the from I placed the king with his new-born daughter and in perspective I placed the curse… what was going to happen to her…
I must say that I truly LOVE my castle…and last month when I received the Cake Central confirmation email that my cake was featured in Cake Central Magazine Volume 4 Issue 10….well…no words…just Happiness!!!
So never give up…don’t stop believing!!! Dreams do come true!!!
